On April 20, 2020, an online kick-off seminar was held to discuss the preparation for the conclusion of a Grant Contract and the start of the ImProfEdu project implementation within the framework of the Cross – Border Cooperation Program “Russia-South-Eastern Finland 2014-2020”, funded by the European Union, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Finland.
The ImProfEdu project is aimed at improving professional education based on the needs of the labor market in Russia and Finland using digital technologies, creating the necessary conditions for the development of motivation for training, advanced training and professional retraining for subsequent employment among students and graduates of universities.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the program’s MA (Finland): Program coordinator Sonja Miettinen, financial controller Kimmo Turunen, project expert of the program’s Representative Office in St. Petersburg Ekaterina Kuznetsova, representatives of the Kouvola region professional college KSAO (Lead Partner of the project, Finland): Coordinator for International Work Auli Haapajärvi, Assistant for International Work Taru Horppu; representatives of the South Kymenlaakso Vocational College Ekami (Finland): teachers Irina Kärkkäinen and Erja Pohju; representatives of the Petrovsky College (Russia): Elena Veretennikova, Head of the Development Center, Olga Lyadova, Head of the Department; representatives of the St. Petersburg College of Architecture and Construction (Russia): the director of the college is Yuri Gruzdev, the chief methodologist is Natalia Petrova. Rector Valery Pilyavsky, Vice-rector Mikhail Malikov, Vice-Director of the Department of International Tourism Tatyana Ignatieva and Rector’s Advisor Anastasiia Ivanova took part from the ANO APE “IBIN”. All participants of the seminar took an active part in the discussion. As a result of the meeting, a plan for the start of the project was drawn up.
