On March 16, a long-awaited event took place – the first joint online training session on hairdressing for students of Petrovsky College and the Finnish professional college of the Kouvola region.
Teachers of special disciplines from the Petrovsky College, Barausova N. M., Kozhokar E. I., Manyutina S. A. and Orlova N. V., as well as 10 active, creative students from the group 29_08, take part in the implementation of the Russian-Finnish program on the competence of Hairdressing. The teachers and students faced a difficult task, it was necessary to develop two presentations that were supposed to illustrate the peculiarities of culture in St. Petersburg, to introduce the Russian view of the modern beauty industry, including its components such as service activities, communication psychology and the most popular salon services. Finnish colleagues proposed a very interesting experiment – to interview Russian professionals in the field of hairdressing and find out their impression of working with Finnish clients. Teachers of the Petrovsky College recorded three conversations with top masters of St. Petersburg, from which it became clear that hairdressers love Finnish customers very much, as they are ready for changes and allow stylists to show imagination, and at the moment our salons are looking forward to the opening of borders. Finnish colleagues also presented three interviews with famous masters who said that Russian clients are more demanding in their choice, closely monitor the implementation of procedures and almost always know exactly what they want to get in the end.
The lesson was designed in such a way that both students and teachers could exchange thoughts and comments. Lina Olegovna Kalinichenko, a wonderful specialist, translator, provided great support to young hairdressers and teachers without her patience, calmness and professionalism, the meeting would not have been a success! The next lesson will be held on April 20, Petrovsky College is responsible for its development, the teachers want to offer a practical lesson in an online format consisting of three blocks: performing express hairstyles, eyebrow architecture and volumetric weaving.
