ABOUT PARTNER
Joint Authority of Education of Kotka-Hamina Region is owned by the local cities Kotka and Hamina and municipalities Virolahti, Pyhtää ja Miehikkälä and is running the South-Kymenlaakso Vocational College (Ekami). Ekami has education activities in Kotka and Hamina in four different campuses where study more than 8 000 students and the staff consists of 350 persons.
College was founded in this form in the year 2006. Vocational education has originally been working in Kotka more than hundred years by the predecessors of Ekami.
The college is newly certified by ISO 9001 and international activities are certified by Erasmus+ Mobility Charter by the European Union. The staff is competent accordingly to the Finnish standards for educational staff. The fields of education have modern education equipment and Ekami also has its own Data Center as educational unit.
